Named for Charlene's grandfather, G. A. Bernard Johnson was born in St. Paul, MN in 1892. Bernard worked many jobs in his life from traveling the rails, digging graves and a farm hand. He met his future wife, Effie Pearl Griffin, from the Mann Valley area near River Falls, WI, while working on her uncle's farm. Bernard loved to write poems and raise and show pigeons. His book of poems is in the room for guests to enjoy. Located
on the second floor, a queen four poster bed adorns this large room decorated in subtle shades of peach and rose. As you enjoy the lake view from your patio you may like to sit at the table and try your luck at a game of checkers or cribbage.
Enjoy the fireplace & relax in the double whirlpool in your private bath.
